<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of preventing the erroneous input of connection information such as an IP address and setting the connection information without any personal expenses and equipment expenses. <P>SOLUTION: The communication apparatus has a function for connecting it to a TCP/IP network by inserting an IC card where a telephone number for mobile object communication is stored and by using a mobile object communication network. The communication apparatus is provided with a storage part 104 having a database which previously stores a telephone number of the IC card, and connection information such as an IP address corresponding to the telephone number, an IP address of a connection destination and a telephone number of the connection destination and with a control part 102 controlling (S206 to S208) shift to a standby state by reading (S204) the telephone number from the IC card where the inserted mobile object communication telephone number is stored, acquiring connection information corresponding to the telephone number which is read from the database and setting connection information when the telephone number which is read differs from that which is set (S205). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
