<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method and program for controlling an automatic top and bottom display, wherein numeric values of rear face liquid crystal display, and display direction change of non-character data information like icons and images are controlled by attitude change, to always display optimum screen to a user. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic top and bottom display control system has a top and bottom control part 1 controlling the display direction of the rear face liquid crystal display to be optimum to a user, conforming to attitude change due to inclination of a casing; a display mode storing part 2 setting/ notifying information of whether to perform or not top and bottom automatic display control; a display state storing part 3 setting/notifying information of the present information display direction; and a function of creating an interval time for deciding inclination direction change determination. The system comprises a timer control part 4 setting/ notifying the interval time; an inclination measuring instrument 5 detecting attitude change due to inclination of the casing to the top/bottom direction; an inclination measuring instrument control part 6 controlling input information from the measuring instrument; and a display processing part 7 displaying data of the rear face liquid crystal display.
