<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device for securely releasing the lock of a retractor without waste. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt device is provided with the retractors RA to RD having an electric motor and a lock mechanism and an electronic control unit 40 executing take-up control program processing. The electronic control unit 40 detects an emergency condition based on signals from various types of sensors 31 to 34 and controls the electric motor to take up the seat belts 11a to 11d. The electronic control unit 40 detects a deceleration condition based on the signals from a brake stepping switch 35 and a brake master cylinder liquid pressure sensor 36, prevents the lock mechanism from controlling the electric motor to release the lock when the deceleration condition is detected, and controls the electric motor to release the lock by the rotation in the taking up direction of the seat belts 11a to 11d when the deceleration condition is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
