PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of diagnosing deterioration of water supply piping for quantitatively calculating the clogging rate of the supply piping due to red rust. SOLUTION: A light source device is attached to an industrial fiber scope, a camera is attached to an observation surface of the fiber scope, a scope part of the fiber scope is inserted within the water supply piping, and an image observed through the fiber scope is taken by the camera. A photograph 2 thus taken is traced by using a planimeter 6 to find the area of, for example, an opening part 4 of a joint-part internal surface 1 or the area of the red rust 5 of the supply piping, to calculate the clogging rate of the supply piping by using a piping internal area and the area of the opening part or the area of the red rust.
