PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric element that can be mounted on an automobile, or the like by being imparted with vibration proofness. SOLUTION: The vibration proof thermoelectric element has a damping material 6 interposed between a thermoelectric material and electrodes 3, 4 and 5 or has electrodes composed of a damping alloy. A damping material 6 having a large heat generation quantity is arranged on the high temperature side of the thermoelectric material and the damping material having a small heat generation quantity can be arranged on the low temperature side of the thermoelectric material. A moving vehicle is mounting that vibration proof thermoelectric element, e.g. a vibration proof thermoelectric element generating power from temperature difference by utilizing heat generated from an engine, solar heat, or heat of a headlight.
