PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is an active matrix type liquid crystal display device of a small size and high fineness and which can easily perform lighting display inspection by using a low-cost inspection apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a plurality of image signal wiring and a plurality of scanning signal wiring so as to intersect with each other through insulating films, is provided with pixel electrodes and switching elements for supplying image signals to the pixel electrodes and is held with a liquid crystal material between the pixel electrodes and counter electrodes disposed to face the pixel electrodes. A plurality of connection terminals which are connected to the plurality of the image signal wiring and the plurality of the scanning signal wiring and input the signals for driving the liquid crystal display device are formed on one side of the liquid crystal display device and the end on the side formed with the connection electrodes is provided with≥2 rows of a plurality of inspection terminals for lighting display of the liquid crystal display device.
