PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slider peeling method capable of peeling a slider from a flexure without deforming the flexure or a wiring pattern. SOLUTION: In a magnetic head assembly provided with a slider 11 having an electric magnetic conversion element integrally, and a flexible flexure 21 to which the slider 11 is bonded with a bonding adhesive part 25, when the slider 11 has a characteristic failure, first, the flexure 21 is fixed by a flexure presser. Then, a notchαis formed in the bonding adhesive part 25 by an ultrasonic wave cutter. Then, in the fixed state of the flexure 21, the slider 11 is set upright and pulled to cut off the bonding between the bonding adhesive part 25 and the flexure 21 from the notchα. Thus, the slider 11 is peeled from the flexure 21 together with the bonding adhesive part 25 while the cut pieces of the bonding adhesive part 25 are left. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
