PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which enables to conceal the existence of data itself unless a normal password is inputted. SOLUTION: A password setting unit 11 of a database system 10 manages a password set by a user in a password management table 21. A password registration unit 12 registers the set password to arbitrary data in a data group 23, and records the registration in a data management table 22. A password authentication unit 13 determines whether the password inputted by the user matches the password set by the password setting unit 11, and informs a data list display unit 14 of matching if the passwords match each other. Then, the data list display unit 14 displays a list of a data group 23 for the data to which a password informed from the password authentication unit 13 that the data unassigned with a password matches with the input password is registered.
