PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure long service life against rolling fatigue of the outer periphery of a roller 6 and reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A portion except chamfered portions provided at both end portions in the axial direction, of the outer periphery of the roller 6, is formed into a cylindrical shape without need for crowning it. By adopting this constitution, a contact area between the outer periphery of the roller 6 and that of a cam 2 is increased to achieve a low surface pressure of the contact portion and eliminate need for a machining process for crowning the outer periphery of the roller 6, thus solving the above problem.
