PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic-organic hybrid material which has combined characteristics of an inorganic material and an organic material. SOLUTION: There is provided an organotitanosilicate having a layer structure of a phyllosilicate mineral type and comprising a layered product between a sheet of a tetrahedron having silicon or a metal as the central atom and a sheet of an octahedron having as the central element one or more kinds selected from Ti, Mg, Al, Ni, Co, Cu, Mn, Fe, Li, V, and Zr. Part or the whole of the silicon atoms, which are the central atoms of the above tetrahedron sheet, are each bonded through covalent bond to an organic group not containing a polymerizable functional group, and of the central atoms of the above octahedron sheet Ti occupies 5-100 atom% thus causing the crystallinity of the direction of plane of the above layer structure to be relatively low.
