PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float which does not require the passage of a fishing line therethrough and enables the exchange of various float members in response to purposes and uses and whose colors can simply and quickly be changed. SOLUTION: This float which does not require the passage of the fishing line therethrough comprises a float body 1 in which a dividing groove 12 reaching the center is formed and in which upper and lower outer peripheral grooves 13 are formed at places near to the center in the circumferential direction, and upper and lower caps 2, 3 which can be capped on the upper and lower portions of the float body 1, in which dividing grooves 22, 32 reaching the centers, respectively, are formed and further in which engaging projections 23, 33 are formed on inner peripheries near to the openings, respectively.
