<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet carrying device miniaturized and reduced in the cost without providing a dedicated sensor for detecting a tip detection timing for control, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: This paper sheet carrying device 10 is provided with a reading means 1, a control unit 2, a document supply roller 11, a document carrying roller 12, a document delivery roller 13, a resist sensor Sr, skew sensors S1 and S2, and a carrying passage R. During the carrying of a document d, the skew sensors S1 and S2, which are provided on the carrying passage R to detect the skew quantity of the document d, detect the document tip reach timing. On the basis of a result of the detection, the tip reach timing for control of the document d is computed to obtain the document tip detection timing for control of the carried document by using a result of the detection by the sensors S1 and S2 for detecting skew quantity without providing a dedicated sensor for detecting the tip detection timing like a conventional one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
