PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle navigation apparatus and a program therefor capable of guiding a route to meet the preference of a user. SOLUTION: The vehicle navigation apparatus which searches a route from an input place of departure to an input destination and guides the route comprises a registration means (11) to register the place of departure, the destination and a traveling route in a related manner, a determination means (12) to determine whether or not a place of departure and a destination within a predetermined range from the place of departure and the destination in the registered route are input, a route searching means (13) which reads information of the registered route, and searches the route by lowering the weighting in searching the route at the time closest to the time of utilization out of the registered routes when it is determined by the determination means that the place of departure and the destination within the predetermined range from the place of departure and the destination in the registered route are input, and a control means (4) to guide the route searched by the route searching means. The vehicle navigation apparatus changes the predetermined range from the place of departure and the destination of the registered route determined by the determination means according to the distance from the place of departure and the destination.
