PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass pane support device for allowing the vertical movement of a glass pane in an earthquake with a simple constitution without imposing a load burden on a horizontal member, and without increasing a dimension of the horizontal member. SOLUTION: Rocking arm hardware for supporting the glass pane has a connecting part for connecting a vertical directional load support member and the horizontal member, a glass pane support part for supporting a lower end corner part of the glass pane and a strut connecting part for supporting an out-of-plane load such as wind pressure on the indoor side in a position for crossing the vertical directional load support member arranged in the vertical direction of a skeleton and the horizontal member for engaging with upper-lower end parts of the glass pane. A horizontal member connecting member has integrally the glass pane support part, and is slidably constituted in the vertical direction to a vertical directional load support member connecting member.
