PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate packaging method and spacers for packaging glass plates, which enables automatization in packaging the glass plates and the spacers, easy and effective loading of the large glass plates, and the reuse of the spacers. SOLUTION: According to the glass plate packaging method, the rectangular large glass plates 1, each having respective≥1 m sides and≤3 mm thickness, are set upright and lined up, with the spacers 3 arranged between the glass plates 1 to prevent them from coming in contact with each other, and are packaged. The spacer 3 covers the whole surface of the glass plate, and has a bending elastic modulus based on≥0.1 MPa JIS K 7203 (revised in 1995) material test standard. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
