PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply install a bearing of a hub for a bicycle as one unit. SOLUTION: This hub for the bicycle is provided with a hub shaft, a hub shell, and a pair of bearings. Each bearing is provided with an inner race supported on an axle end on one side of the hub shaft, an outer race screwed into and connected with an internal tubular face of the hub shell, and a plurality of rolling members arranged between the inner race and the outer race. Before a snap ring is connected with either of the inner race and the outer race and the bearing is provided between the hub shaft and the hub shell, a shaft abutting part arranged to come into contact with the other of the inner race and the outer race is formed to prevent the separation of the inner race from the outer race in the axial direction.
