PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting method with which plants are stably planted even on artificial ground and side walls such as rooftops, wall surfaces, etc., generation change of plants is continuously carried out, transplanted plants are excellently widened and grown and largely contributes to prevention of global warming such as atmosphere cleaning, drying prevention, warming prevention, alleviation of heat island phenomena, etc, improves residential environments including a landscape. SOLUTION: Culture soil is stored in a pan for planting composed of a bottom wall having a plurality of drain holes surrounding the center and side walls which stand from a circumferential edge part of the bottom wall, has an upper end ended in a square opening and about 1-4.0 cm depth, seeds of lichen plant are sowed or young seedlings are planted and main roots of the plant are rooted and guided from the drain holes downward.
