<p>To cope with the coming aging society, it is intended to provide a fatigue reducing agent for preventing fatigue and quickening recovery from fatigue which comprises a composition containing a highly safe substance withstanding long-lasting administration in order to maintain the stamina and health of middle-aged and older persons. It is found out that a composition comprising reduced coenzyme Q has effects of preventing fatigue including muscular fatigue and promoting recovery therefrom. The fatigue reducing effects of this composition are more remarkable on aged rats than on young rats. That is, a fatigue reducing composition which is useful not only for young persons but also for middle-aged and older persons can be provided.</p>
