The wall mounting has a fixing rail (5) with a hat-shaped cross-section and a cooperating pair of fixing clips (3,4), secured to the rear side of the electrical or electronic device (1), one of which has a retaining lip (8) engaging one edge (23) of the fixing rail, the other tensioned by a spring element for movement of a bearing surface (14) into engagement with the second edge (24) of the fixing rail. The second fixing clip has 2 side arms (15) bent at right angles to the plane of its central section (13) providing the bearing surface at one end and bent outwards through an angle of more than 90 degrees at the opposite end for providing a pair of spring arms (16).
