<p>An information processor stores branch history information on a fetched instruction. If a branch prediction fails, BHR information used for branch prediction is restored using the stored branch history information. Thus, even if a branch prediction failure occurs, BHR information can be correctly restored. Consequently, the prediction accuracy can be improved.</p> |
