The labelling device has labelling stations (4-7) with label transfer and dispenser unit (9) and contact pressure elements. The contact pressure element (11) of an inactive labelling station can be brought from its work position into a rest position at least slightly outside of the bottle moving plane. The contact pressure element can be moved into a rest position and the labelling station can be moved into a refill or waiting position. The contact pressure element is mounted to pivot in and out on a coupling gear (18).
