PURPOSE: A brass bearing is provided to reduce noises and vibrations and achieve improved performance of motor by minimizing the area contacting a shaft. CONSTITUTION: A brass bearing is characterized in that a brass material and an aluminum material are used rather than an oil-less metal bearing or a ball bearing. The brass bearing has an inclined inside, and a surface which is etched so as to contain oil in the air hole formed by the etching process, to thereby accomplish effects of oil-less bearing. The inner surface of the brass bearing is partially and selectively etched so as to accomplish effects of fluid dynamic bearing. The brass bearing is used in the fan motor, hard disk driver, floppy disk driver, and compact disk driver of a computer, camera, home appliances, and automobiles.
