<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the detection precision of an object in an intruding object detector for performing a background differential processing. <P>SOLUTION: An area having a potential presence presence of an intruding object is detected from a reference image in a background differential processing and an image taken by a camera (an image to be corrected in this case) (S403). An error such as slippage of imaging position between the reference image and the taken image is corrected by affine transformation. In determination of the slippage, calculation of slippage is performed except the area with the potential presence of the intruding object.
