<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking control system restraining a healthy person from using a parking space for the physically handicapped. <P>SOLUTION: This parking control system is provided with a physically handicapped person identifying means for identifying a parking space user as a physically handicapped person, and a parking restraining means for restraining parking by the user not identified as the physically handicapped person by the physically handicapped person identifying means. An identification device for identifying the presence of a certificate of the physically handicapped is used as the physically handicapped person identifying means. The identification device is composed of an imaging part for converting the certificate of the physically handicapped into image data to output it, and a determining part for analyzing the image data outputted by the imaging part, to determine the authenticity of the certificate of the physically handicapped. The identification device is provided with a vehicle detecting part for detecting a vehicle, and constituted to put the imaging part and the determining part in a stand-by state by detecting the vehicle by the vehicle detecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
