<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for an indwelling needle with a wing, by which an operation for storing the indwelling needle with the wing in a protector main body is easily performed, and a needle piercing accident or infection are surely evaded. <P>SOLUTION: A ring shape sliding member 10 is freely slidably arranged in the outer periphery of a nearly cylindrical protector main body 9. The protector main body 9 includes three slits 13 for guiding the respective wing pieces 5 of the indwelling needle 1 with the wing in a direction for storing a hollow needle 3. The slits 13 are formed to be longer than the hollow needle 3 of the indwelling needle 1 along an axial direction from the forward end of the protector main body 9, and also to be cut by width corresponding to the thickness of the wing pieces 5. The sliding member 10 is positioned at the forward end part of the protector main body when the indwelling needle 1 with the wing is not stored, and clogs the slits 13. When the indwelling needle 1 with the wing is stored, the sliding member 10 is abutted onto the wing pieces 5 guided by the slits 13, and slid toward the rear end of the protector main body 9 with the wing pieces 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
