<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately correct the detection error of a voltage detection type signal level detector in a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The signal level detector is provided with a voltage detection type logarithmic amplifier 1 for detecting the signal level of input signals, a peak factor computing means 2 for obtaining a peak factor composed of the ratio of the average level and the peak level of the input signals, a correction table 3 where a correction value to the signal level detected in the logarithmic amplifier 1 is stored corresponding to respective peak factor values beforehand, and a correcting means 4 for correcting the signal level detected in the logarithmic amplifier 1 by the correction value corresponding to the peak factor read from the correction table 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
