PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve retrieving precision by further narrowing down concept retrieval results by cooperatively using concept retrieval and a significant word DB. SOLUTION: When the purpose of use and the field of use are limited to some extents, there is a case that there are a plurality of words predicted to be included with high probability in a document to be obtained as a retrieval result. Those words are preliminarily registered, and when any registered word(significant word) exists in characteristic term extracted from a master text, the retrieval range of the concept retrieval is limited to the document including the significant word, so that retrieval precision can be improved.
