PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt cap of a fishing rod, resistant to breakage, having excellent appearance and satisfiable to an angler. SOLUTION: The butt cap 1 is composed of a metallic cap body 2 and a rubber cover 3 detachably attached to the cap body in a manner to cover the butt side of the cap body 2. The outer circumference of the cap body 2 has a screw 2a, an indented groove 2b, a collar 2c protruding outward in circumferential direction and a body part 2d. The rubber cover 3 is a nearly cylindrical member having a cap and wraps the groove 2b, collar 2c and body 2d of the cap body 2 in the hollow part of the cover from the cylindrical opening.
