PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of utilizing accurate metadata independently of kinds of the metadata at edit of multimedia contents. SOLUTION: The information processor for editing multimedia contents including metadata carries out: a step (S5-2) of receiving operation information of edit operations; a step (S5-5) of reading meta-metadata describing a change in the reliability of the metadata due to the edit operations; and a step (S5-5) of discriminating whether or not the metadata are available for the multimedia contents after the edit operations on the basis of the read meta-metadata.
