FLOATING MATTER REMOVAL DEVICE OF DAM OR THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating matter removal device capable of efficiently removing a floating matter in the vicinity of the surface of the water such as a dam or the like while having a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The floating matter removal device includes a filter tank 7 installed on a surrounding section 39 such as the dam 15 or the like and having the inside water surface 20 lower than the basic water surface 10 such as the dam 15 or the like and a filtering endless traveling belt 9 installed to the inside of the filter tank 7. It includes a storing tank 8 for storing the floating matter 1 condensed and conveyed by the belt 9, a collecting section 6 wherein the floating matter 1 floating together with water on the basic water surface 10 such as the dam 15 or the like is made to flow and piping 4 consecutively connecting the collecting section 6 to the filter tank 7 and sending the floating matter 1 together with water from the collecting section 6 at siphon phenomenon.
