PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure of a motorcycle giving a fine appearance owing to its configuration that the seam of the joining part between a side cover and a fender cover is not visible from the back and excellent in the easiness to execute the works of mounting these members. SOLUTION: The rear structure of the motorcycle has the side cover 17 covering the periphery of the rear of a motorcycle frame 2 located under seat members 16A and 16B, and a rear fender part 18 mating with the over-part of the rear wheel 10 is formed rigidly on the side cover 17, while a lamp opening 25 is formed in the rear part of the side cover 17, and a tail lamp unit 19 confronting the lamp opening 25 is attached to the side cover 17, wherein at least the major part of the lamp opening 25 is formed in a back rising lower wall 17a of the side cover 17.
