PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of the conventional crawler tractor that, when the operation is switched to a forward running side, a reaction against the rotation of a crawler in the forward running direction acts thereon and the front part of a tractor body is raised to get instable longitudinal balance of the vehicle body. SOLUTION: In this wet field running device for a tractor, track frames 4 and 4 disposed under the tractor body 1 and on which crawlers 7 and 7 are wound are formed so that front driven wheels 5 and 5 are vertically rotated with rear drive wheels 3 and 3 side as a turning point. When hydraulically controlled cylinders 9 and 9 installed between the track frames 4 and 4 and the tractor body 1 are controlled so as to be retracted to lower the front of the tractor body 1 when the tractor body 1 is operated to the forward running side of the tractor body 1. Accordingly, even if the the front part 1 of the tractor is raised by a running reaction occurring simultaneously with the start of the tractor forward, since the vehicle height of that portion is lowered by the retraction of the hydraulically controlled cylinders and the rotation of the track frames 4 and 4, the tractor can start in a stable state and can run forward.
