PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor camera which doesn't need wiring work for power supply and is easily installed without securing a new installation space. SOLUTION: A monitor camera 100 is provided with a base cap part 11 and an image pickup means 12, and the base cap part 11 is formed into such a shape that it can be attached to and detached from the socket of an tubular bulb or lamp bulb for illumination, and power can be supplied when attached to the socket, and the image pickup means 12 picks up the image of a subject while the power is supplied from the base cap part 11.
