A cover for an immersion suit with a valve and an immersion suit having a valve and a cover are disclosed. In use, the cover is placed over an air expulsion valve of an immersion suit and is adapted to deform under action of an external force, such as water moving over the cover, in order to protect the valve from the external force. The cover is preferably adapted to deform and protect the valve in any direction regardless of the direction of the external force. The sensitivity of the valve can be increased to allow the efficient expulsion of air trapped within the immersion suit.
