<p>The device is for steering and control of a ship or boat rudder pivotable on a rudder shaft around a vertically directed pivot axis. For rotary drive of the rudder shaft, a pivot device with a rotary driven drive unit is provided. The drive unit (11) of the pivot device can be brought selectively into two engagement positions with a coupling component (6) non-rotatably engaged with the rudder shaft (2). In a first engagement position, the rotary movement (18) of the drive unit causes a likewise rotary movement of the rudder shaft. In a second engagement position, the rotary movement (17) of the drive unit produces a counterposed movement (18) of the rudder shaft.</p> |
