PURPOSE: Provided are a compact power source best suited for portable use, which uses no separator and has no auxiliary equipment such as a fluid supply mechanism, and portable electronic equipment using the power source. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell generator is characterized in that plural generation sections having an anode for oxidizing liquid fuel, a cathode for reducing oxygen and an electrolyte membrane formed between the anode and the cathode are disposed on a support for retaining and supporting the liquid fuel, the plural generation sections comprising a vessel for storing the liquid fuel are connected electrically to each other, and electric power is generated by supplying the liquid fuel from the vessel into the support for retaining and supporting the liquid fuel. The fuel cell comprises an anode (3) for oxidizing liquid fuel; a cathode (4) for reducing oxygen; and an electrolyte membrane (2) formed between the anode and the cathode, wherein the fuel cell has a construction of a hollow support (1), a liquid retaining material for retaining and supporting liquid fuel is disposed inside the hollow support, a generation section is formed by disposing the anode, electrolyte membrane and cathode on at least two surfaces of the hollow support, and the liquid fuel is brought into contact with the inside of the hollow support, and gas containing the oxygen is brought into contact with the outside of the generator section. The fuel cell generator comprises a fuel cell in which plural generation sections having an anode for oxidizing liquid fuel, a cathode for reducing oxygen and an electrolyte membrane formed between the anode and the cathode are disposed; a fuel tank for supplying the liquid fuel to the fuel cell; and a mechanism formed on the fuel tank to selectively permeate gas. |
