PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel and an apparatus for the same are provided to reduce the impediment of the electromagnetic wave generated during the driving of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel(PDP) is characterized in that at least one among the periods of the control signals having a periodicity is changed in response to the time. In the PDP, the discharge cells are formed on the cross-regions between the X and Y electrode lines and the address electrode lines. Each of the X and Y electrode lines and the address electrode lines is controlled by using the X-driving unit, the Y-driving unit and the address driving unit. And, the PDP reduces the impediment of the electromagnetic wave by applying the control signals having a periodicity to each of the X-driving unit, the Y-driving unit and the address driving unit, respectively. |
