<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic flash device capable of radiating light to a wide range by using an LED as a light source, and a camera. <P>SOLUTION: A chip LED 10 emitting light in white is mounted on a circuit board 18, and a reflector 12 is attached to surround the LED 10. A diffusing plate 14 diffusing the light emitted from the LED 10 and also converting it to specified color temperature is attached to the inside of the reflector 12. A concave lens 16 enlarging and projecting the light emitted from the LED 10 forward is attached to the edge part of the reflector 12.
