<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable terminal capable of improving operability by adding a function other than a open/close function to open/close operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the folding portable terminal 30, the end of a first case 32 having at least a display section 11 is connected to that of a second case 34 having at least an operation section 17 by a connection section 36 having an axis in a direction passing through both the cases, while the display section and the operation section face the same direction and the operation section of the second case is set to be a closed state that the operation section of the second case is overlapped while being covered with the first case. The folding portable terminal has a control means 62 for performing selection. In the selection, the closed state is changed to an open state even if the first case is rotated in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction with the axis as the center, and first and second screens are displayed at the display section when the first case is rotated to the second case clockwise and counterclockwise, respectively, from the closed section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
