<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound generating device capable of generating many sounds without requiring complicated calculation by making it possible to optionally set a plurality of sounds at different sampling frequencies. <P>SOLUTION: The sound generating device is equipped with a storage device 11 such as a memory which stores sound data encoded with a sampling frequency, a scale selecting circuit 14 which selects a scale by using a clock of frequency calculated based upon the frequency of a frequency counter original oscillation clock 18, a CPU 12, and a sound output circuit13. Counter values by scales of a clock inputted to a frequency counter 15 of the scale selecting circuit are fixed irrelevantly to a plurality of kinds of sampling frequencies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
