PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air curtain generator, and a space separating method effectively preventing intrusion of bacteria, virus, or the like, and creating a space with improved cleanliness.

SOLUTION: The air curtain generator is characterized in that an air curtain contains positive ions and negative ions by adding an ion generating element generating the positive ions and negative ions. The space separating method is characterized in that a space is partitioned by the air curtain containing the positive ions and the negative ions.
