<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder and a video recording system which record desired images conveniently. <P>SOLUTION: Information (photographing azimuth, photographing position, position of a player 14 as an object, player's information such as player name, etc.) obtained by photographing the object by a camera 16 about images in taken pictures is added to image data showing the taken pictures as appended information in a broadcast station 24 and is broadcasted over a communication network 32. A video recorder 40 switches whether or not to extract and record a desired image according to recorder settings inputted through an input unit of the recorder 40.
