<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow coloring matter which is excellent in spectral extinction characteristics as a yellow coloring matter, in detail, has a high molar extinction coefficient and a sharp extinction characteristic and is a suited coloring matter to the use for photography, ink-jet printing, printing, heat transfer printing or for filtering. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by general formula(I), wherein R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>represent each independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>represent each independently a substituent group, and m and n represent each independently an integer of 0-4, provided in case of m≥2 the plural numbers of R<SB>3</SB>are each mutually the same or different or in case of n≥2 the plural numbers of R<SB>4</SB>are each mutually the same or different.
