PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method free of toner fusion phenomenon on a latent image carrier in a low humidity environment. SOLUTION: When the weight of oxycarboxylic acid extracted by methanol from 1 g of a toner used is represented by A (g) and the weight of oxycarboxylic acid extracted by an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution having a concentration of 0.1 mol/l by B (g), the toner satisfies 1.05≤A/B≤1.50 and 0.10×10<SP>-3</SP>≤B≤2.00×10<SP>-3</SP>.
