PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery small in thickness variation and excellent in a cycle property by preventing capacity deterioration and volume variation of active material particles accompanied by the charge/discharge cycle. SOLUTION: The electrode for the lithium ion secondary battery is a negative electrode for the lithium ion secondary battery including active materials capable of reversibly storing and discharging lithium.
