PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search a route capable of avoiding direct sunlight as much as possible when carrying out a route searching process up to a destination. SOLUTION: A system is made up so that a user can set whether shaded areas are considered (prioritized) or not as search conditions in the route searching process. In the case the shaded areas are considered when carrying out the route searching process up to the destination, a control circuit 2 adds shade costs (which are set as a small value to a road easy to become shaded and as a large value to a road difficult to become shaded) to respective road data (links) separated by nodes, and carries out a route computing process by using the shade costs. In the route computing process, a plurality (n numbers) of routes (R1-Rn) are computed as candidates by a general method using road costs, and summation values (B1-Bn) of the shade costs are obtained in relation to the plurality of routes (R1-Rn) respectively, and a recommendation route is selected by coupling the summation values (B1-Bn) of the shade costs with summation values (A1-An) of the road costs with respect to the routes (R1-Rn).
