PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and its driving method that enable respective discharge cells to stably discharge and improve light emission efficiency of the discharge cells. SOLUTION: The delay time T1 of a control signal SC1 of a scan driver is controlled to make the fall period of a 2nd potential of maintaining pulses applied to a scanning electrode 12 overlap with the rise period of a 1st potential of maintaining pulses Psu applied to a sustaining electrode 13 by a sustain driver 6. Then the delay time T1 of a control signal SS1 of a sustain driver 6 is controlled to make the fall period of a 2nd potential of maintaining pulses Psu applied to the sustaining electrode 13 overlap with the rise period of the 1st potential of the maintaining pulses Psc applied to the scanning electrode 12 by the scan driver 5.
