The invention relates to a textile care product containing a copolymer. Said product can be obtained by means of the copolymerisation of at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or the salts thereof with carbohydrates in the presence of optionally at least one oxidant and optionally at least one complexing agent. The inventive textile care product can be used to reduce fluffing, to reduce pilling, and to facilitate ironing. The invention also relates to a conditioning substrate containing a conditioning agent, and to a conditioning method which uses said conditioning substrate in a textile drying process and/or washing process.
