PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control apparatus capable of satisfying both of the power supply of a high-precision voltage and a large current for an external circuit and low current consumption at stand-by and securing high reliability in self diagnosis and to provide an apparatus for detecting a vehicle driver and passengers.

SOLUTION: An auxiliary circuit 21 executes time count at all times by power supply directly supplied from a vehicular battery 2. Power supply for a principal circuit 11 is halted at stand-by to reduce current consumption. The principal circuit 11 is supplied with power supply and executes zero-point correction on load sensors 41-44 when the auxiliary circuit 21 counts a previously set timer actuation time or when an ignition key 3 is turned on.
