摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model for a color reproduction system which can be easily calibrated. SOLUTION: A control system which calibrates the color printing device based on a dynamic color balance control of an output image of the device comprises a front end converter which converts an input signal indicating a target image including a pre-selected color into a device-dependent control signal according to a state space model, the color printing device 12 which outputs an output image in response to the above control signal, and a sensor 14 which measures a parameter indicating a color of the above output image from the above output image. An open loop system compares the above parameter with a corresponding parameter from the above target image and constitutes an output color sensitivity function based on a selected set of nominal device color value. A closed loop system controller constitutes the above state space model based on a gradient of the above sensitivity function at the above set of nominal device color value.
